Recently, JinkoSolar supplied 39 MW of solar modules for four ground-mount solar photovoltaic power plants to Shikun & Binui Renewable Energy in Israel were grid connected. The project is by far the biggest ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project JinkoSolar has supplied to the Israeli market.
The project is located in four different locations in southern Israel. Using JinkoSolar mono modules, the solar photovoltaic power plants were built for Shikun & Binui which is a leading infrastructure and real estate company respectively from Israel with presence across the world. ORAD provided photovoltaic solar energy solutions through its subsidiary, the Solarpower company.
Anita Li, JinkoSolar Asia Pacific General Manager, commented: “This project is a milestone for JinkoSolar in the Israeli market. As the module supplier to leading enterprises like Shikun & Binui and ORAD proves its excellent track record in quality and reliability. With the trends of grid parity, product quality has become more important than ever before especially for investing in a PV plant".
While its rivals struggle to recover amid tough challenges, JinkoSolar’s business still enjoys robust growth. To fend off lower-price models, JinkoSolar plans to ramp up capacity of its flagship Cheetah series next year, seeking to revitalize the market, since customers have been eager to upgrade, impressed by its new features. “Investors and developers become far more interested in technology and quality because project returns and margins are predicted by the performance of products used rather than on the comfort of an FIT subsidy", said Anita Li.
It is the first manufacturer to start GW scale production and sales of premium panels up to 400W by far. That is Cheetah. It represents new wafer size and pioneering technologies such as mono PERC and half cut. These features lift the upper power range to the next level. It will ramp up to its full capacity of Cheetah in 2019.
It has had a terrific response from the customers because it boosts output and performance significant without much changes in engineering design. All of this belongs to its comprehensive market initiative. In this way, JinkoSolar is securing the long-term leading role in the global solar PV market.
The customers define the “new premium” also according to how smoothly JinkoSolar connect their product experience with its quality mission. With the universal shift towards subsidy free, product quality plays a key role. Worldwide, we see a rising market volume for these premium quality panels, and JinkoSolar will take its share of that market.
In addition, different from its competitors, JinkoSolar has its wings spread across different geographies. All seven regions, North America, China, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Middle East & Africa, ROW, contributed to its record sales of 11-12 GW in 2018.
